The day Yana turned 9 months we decided that she is old enough and that her crawling speed is good enough to attempt her first mountain. Because we thought the name was funny, we chose the "Wank" near Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the South of Bavaria. As you can see in the photos, Yana was going pretty well. We did have to wait for her occasionally, she did have to take a few rests on the benches and we did only manage to get half-way up, but we don't want to be too hard on her on her first attempt of a mountain. And perhaps she didn't approve of the name. The Bavarian flag flying in the warm breeze marked the hut, where we took a bite to eat.
